A case of mistaken identity solved! HOWEVER, if you have met me, you know I do like to make fun of the stylists and clients who are close friends. I wouldn’t disrespect you for being Christian, or whatever your religious belief or lack of belief. You be you and you do you. I would make fun of you bc it’s a good day to laugh. 🤷‍♀️
[11/19/20]   We are not shutting down or facing another lockdown. A mask mandate remains firmly in place, so what’s changed? Nothing as far as we are concerned! Keep being safe, keep wearing a mask, and we can keep making your hair beautiful.

[07/03/20]   Happy Independence Day! We will be closed on Saturday, July 4 to allow everyone to celebrate.

Please oh please do not blow up any fingers. That is a medical complication nobody needs. If someone lights a Roman candle right next to you and you weren’t anticipating that pixie, do not despair. We will help you rock that new fade! Please be safe and have a wonderful weekend!
[06/29/20]   The governor has mandated that we all wear face masks. Governor, we got you beat. We’ve been requiring them all along!

Thank you to everyone for your understanding and compliance. Please continue to wear your masks in the salon and we will continue to work to make your hair as beautiful as you!

[05/27/20]   If you went to Lake of the Ozarks over the weekend, we are happy you got away and a little bit jealous. If you were involved in any of the infamous parties, please reschedule your appointment for two weeks. We love you and miss you, but we also want to keep everyone safe. Thank you!! Hair stylist worked while symptomatic, exposed clients to virus Thus far, there have been no further positive cases in those who may have been exposed. Most likely, it’s bc the stylist and the clients all wore masks.

This is why we require everyone to wear a mask. This is why we require every single surface to be sanitized throughout the day. This is why we sanitize your shoes before you come in. And this is why I strictly enforce our policy of not allowing anyone to come in (stylist or client) with any sign of illness.

We take everyone’s health very seriously. We may look crazy, but we are keeping everyone safe. Nothing but love to everyone ❤️❤️ Health officials were tracking down 91 people who were potentially exposed to determine if they've developed COVID-19.

[05/14/20]   Get ready to say goodbye to your roots!! The governor has allowed us to open on Monday, and my threats of walking into traffic will not be fulfilled. Please send us a message if you need an appt or not sure when yours was scheduled, rescheduled, get the idea. At this time, we cannot accept walk-ins.

You’ll see new things implemented to insure everyone’s safety, but you won’t see my ear to ear smile when I see your gorgeous eyes. Face masks all around!
[05/12/20]   May 18!!! This is our target date to open up!

You guys, we are so ready to get back to work. Understandably, some people are not ready to go back to the salon. No judgment! Just let us know when you are ready and we will do our best to accommodate you.

We are still rescheduling appointments from the constant game of musical chairs/throwing darts from trying to determine the opening date. Most have been rescheduled already and if you don't know your appt, please send a message and we will find out. (This excludes Amy Seward's clients because holy moly, that one is a challenge)

Now, the good stuff:
1. Unless specified/requested, a women's haircut and all color services will come with a shampoo and style. We offer the shampoo with the service because like washing your hands, this removes any bacteria/virus that may be present. And trust me, it'll take longer than 20 seconds to wash anyone's hair. And with the wild shampoo bowl, we might wash your face as extra charge.

2. Face masks, please. We love you, and we want to protect you and our stylists.

3. Come on in! We've built in extra time for each appt so that when your appt time has arrived, the station should be sanitized. In the event it isn't, you may be asked to wait a bit in your car.

4. Breathe. We are so grateful for your patience and loyalty, and cannot wait to see all of you.

I am confident we will keep the salon exceptionally clean and sanitized, and committed to keeping everyone safe. We hope to see you soon!
[05/08/20]   We are still hoping to open on May 18! Bc of the uncertainty of our confirmed open date, we will wait until Monday, May 11 to call and reschedule you. Thank you for your patience!!!
God willing, we will reopen on May 18. If you have an appt, consider it canceled until we contact you to reschedule. Stay safe and healthy, friends! We love you and trust me, we all look pretty rough, too.
[05/01/20]   And...the governor just delayed us yet again. At this point, I am canceling everyone’s appt until we are 100% sure we can open. This back and forth is giving me whiplash. Stay tuned....bc I’m about to walk into traffic.
[04/30/20]   Ok, so after we re-booked what felt like 7,498 appointments, the JoCo Commission has delayed our opening by one week. We are actively working to reschedule everyone at this time. I am so sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience more than you can imagine. This has been a craptastic journey, and that’s being nice about it. 1000 piece puzzles in the dark are easier to navigate than this moving target....
[04/27/20]   Dear Friends,

We are moving forward on the premise of opening on May 4 (please, no Star Wars jokes). Please understand that regarding COVID-19, nothing has changed regarding its prevalence, virulence, and the precautionary measures we must exercise to keep everyone safe. As we are scheduling everyone based on priority of their appts that were canceled because of the shelter in place order, please be patient with us.

We must also implement the following guidelines to best protect everyone and avoid legal consequences, and ask that you respect and observe them as well:

1. We will have no waiting area, and no beverages will be offered. Please text your stylist or inform the front desk you are here, and wait in your car until your stylist is ready. We want to sanitize everything before you come in to keep you safe.

2. Please wear a face mask. It is best you wear one that loops over your ears.

3. No cash transactions. We will sanitize the card reader after each use to keep you safe.

4. We will be taking temperatures upon arrival. Even though some people may be asymptomatic or have no fever, this is one method of detection. If your temperature is 100 or above, we will have to ask you to reschedule at a later date.

5. Along with #4, please do not come in if you are feeling ill. Regardless of whether or not you believe you have COVID-19, our policy has always been to reschedule clients who are ill.

[04/15/20]   We miss you. Our hair is a mess, and we’d love to see you. However, Gov. Kelly’s press release revealed the shelter in place order will be extended. At present, we are hoping to re-open on May 4. We are also hoping it will not resemble a zombie apocalypse (though my own sad state of hair would suggest otherwise). Stay strong and please be patient. It’s getting harder, but we will get through this together.

Don’t box color. Don’t cut your hair with kitchen shears. That will just make things worse and honestly, we will laugh at and with you.

[04/09/20]   Is anyone else in near meltdown if not outright meltdown-ask me one more time and you will not walk right for weeks-mode? My husband gave me a hug as I got close, pulled back and said “Ooh. You have a lot of gray hair.” God give me patience and strength....

We are in this root regrowth, gray hair takeover, overgrown shag hot mess together. We are planning on re-opening May 1 because if the governor could take one good look at me, she would know the salon is an essential business.

Well, we had hoped to be open on March 31, but we are all under orders to stay at home for 30 days. Be safe, friends. Stay healthy. We have been very diligent in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our staff and clients, and deeply appreciate your support, understanding and cooperation during these very trying and unprecedented times.

It is with a very heavy heart that as the owner, I’ve made the decision to close the salon at the end of the day on Saturday. We will hopefully reopen on March 31. We will keep your schedules on the books and will call you to reschedule according to that priority.

We remain committed to your health and safety, as well as that of our stylists. It has been recommended to not have groups greater than 10. Fortunately, on top of sanitizing everything before and after each service, the appointments are staggered and we stay within these recommendations.

If you get to the salon and not certain if you should come in, please text your stylist and they will respond when you can come in so you don’t have to wait in the salon. If you see Gabby, Kristin, Amy S, Amy H or JJ, please feel free to check in by calling the salon at 913-441-0399 if you don’t have their numbers.

Again, please do not come in if you are ill. If your stylist is ill, please understand we will need to reschedule your appointment. [02/03/20]   Yes, yes, it really did happen! Our beloved Chiefs are Super Bowl Champs!!! Because we are not heathens, we will be closed on Wednesday to celebrate with the entire Chiefs Kingdom and promise to be thawed out enough to return to work on Thursday.
