[11/05/20] Its that time of the week to open up Holmes Barber Shop. Thurs.5-7 pm and Sat 8-11 am What a great day to be outside. I started started the day off Cooking a rack of ribs on the grill then mowing the yard and finished the afternoon by going fishing in the Strip Pits. Fishing was a little slow but we caught a couple Bass and enjoyed the outdoors. Now time to go to work. Have a great day , stay safe,and enjoy life!!!![10/29/20] Here we go again. The covid problem is getting a little edgy. We will still take appointments for haircuts as I am trying to hold down the amount of people at one time in the shop. That being said I still run a business that needs to show a profit. The Goverment has tried to run my business for me but we all know how Goverment runs things. I really doubt if there is one person in congress that grew up in a small town and run a small business so how on earth could they relate to our situation. Please spread the word we are open and doing business the right way to try and protect everybody. Repost this and get this out to everyone. Thank You

[07/09/20] Where does the time go???? It is Thursday and we will be open today at 5:00. Its been a busy week in the garden. Started picking tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet corn, and zucchini. Finished pulling all the onions and hanging them for the fall. The sweet corn has been good. I was sure ready for the rain today. My water bill will be on the rise. [05/21/20] Its has been a busy week. We finally got the Barber Shop opened up and have been taking haircut appointments most of the time this week to get everybody caught up. This reminds me of the old days when I cut hair full time. We still have some Saturday times available so if you need a haircut call me at 620-423-5323 and we will set something up. Holmes Barber Shop will have special hours to adjust for making appointments for awhile depending of what our Governor orders are. We are following all the safety protocols to help ensure everybody's safety.

[05/15/20] Just wanted to let everybody know under the directions of Governor Kelly we can officially open up Holmes Barber shop starting Monday 18th. We will have special hours to cut hair starting out. The Governors restrictions say we have to have appointments only so if you need a haircut call Holmes Barber Shop 795-2556 or my Cell 620-423-5323 and we will try and work with you on a time. [04/23/20] Hope everyone is doing OK. We are still waiting on the Governor to open up the workplace. It is a little misleading as to why some places can stay open and other business had to close. We hope she will open things up on May 3rd as that is when the last order ends. Hang in there and we will make some decisions on our hours as when to be open and what steps we will be taking to keep things safe.

[12/08/19] We are in the Christmas season!! Hope all have a Merry one!!!! I will have cracked Pecans in the shop to buy starting December 12th. Come in and get your Christmas haircut so Santa will stop by and bring you a surprise.
[09/20/19] Its has been a busy time of the year. The garden is winding down and the fishing is getting good. Halloween is right around the corner. Stop in the barber shop and we will catch up on all the good news.
[08/17/19] Finally got the barber shop all remodeled. Got the last coat of paint on the cabinets and back walls. It was a good job to get done. Looking good for a few more years!!!!

[06/27/19] It's that time of the week. We will be open 5:00 t0 7:00 pm. It has been a busy week. The garden is starting to produce. Picked 6 tomatoes, 4 cucumbers, about 6 big onions and 3 bell peppers today and the corn is looking good for the 4th of July. Got the bird netting out and on the tomatoes. Had 2 tomatoes that the birds already took there turn on eating. Looks like the grapes are a couple weeks away.
[06/20/19] Summer will start tomorrow. Fishing has been good as of lately. Garden is growing good. Picked my first cucumber and first tomato yesterday. If you are getting a haircut tonight between 5:00pm and 7:00pm I have the driveway roped off as I made some repairs to it . You will have to just walk around it. No Problem!!!!! Have a great day
